Introducing the 2021 GMC Yukon
Sophisticated Style and Performance
The Yukon has been a popular option in the segment for many years and brings a fresh take in 2021 with a complete redesign. The sleeker, more modern SUV has a longer body with more interior space and an impressive list of premium features including many that come standard. In addition, GMC added a number of driving systems to drastically improve overall ride quality.
Exterior
Elegantly Modern
The 2021 GMC Yukon received a redesign that lengthened both the wheelbase and overall body as well as brought elegant proportions to the exterior design. The longer proportions gives the Yukon a more dynamic appearance and is paired with more angular accents to complete the new look. GMC also introduces the brand new Yukon AT-4 trim that gives SUV customers a performance all-terrain option with the best of both worlds.
Angular Grill
The newly designed grill wasn't changed dramatically but now more closely matches the leading GMC pickup the Sierra 1500. The signature Galvano chrome Denali grill has a uniquely handsome design with over 10,000 individual reflective surfaces that make up the eye catching front fascia. The AT-4 design uses a dark chrome and strong bar design for a more sporty and aggressive feel.
Standard Signature LED Lighting
GMC brings the signature LED C-shaped lighting standard to all trim levels giving the entire lineup a clean and modern look. The changes to the lighting are subtle but the integration to the body creates a more cohesive and strong design. The taillights follow the more angular style and now integrate into the rear tailgate for a more modern look.
Elegant Body Lines
The length of the Yukon was made 6.1 inches longer overall which gives the Yukon a longer, sleeker body style that is highlighted by horizontal leading lines. The angular design gives the SUV a more modern look that is a welcome change away from the boxier design that came before. In addition, the roof gets a slightly more muscular design with sleek badging added under the side mirrors that comes together with sophisticated personality.

Sophisticated Style
The legendary Denali trim was first featured on the Yukon and now returns with a handsome redesign. The Denali features the Galvano chrome grill and exterior accents that gives the Yukon an elegant look from all angles. The Denali also comes equipped with HD Surround Vision camera, Rear Pedestrian Detection, and Magnetic Ride control.
Rugged Personality
GMC brings the rising sports package, the AT-4 to the Yukon for the first time with performance adjustments that are brand new to the segment. The AT-4 has aggressive sport styling that contrasts from the sophistication of Denali with high-clearance sport bumpers, dark chrome accents, and red tow hooks that give this Yukon a distinctly athletic personality.
Interior
Spacious and Modern
With a longer wheelbase and overall length, the cabin of the Yukon benefits with added legroom and cargo area. The Denali trim features its own unique interior layout for the first time that brings the luxury and comfort that Denali customers have come to expect. Both layouts are headlined by a standard 10 inch infotainment system and has available back seat entertainment displays.
Luxurious Cabin
For the first time, the Denali trim features a unique cabin design and layout. This sophisticated interior brings high-quality materials to the cabin including genuine real wood, real metal accents, and premium leather seats. The Denali trim has a few luxury features including heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, and 15 inch heads up display (largest in the segment).
Durable Comfort
The AT-4 interior has a more sport inspired interior with high contrast stitching and dark accents. The cabin also features high-quality durable materials for year round comfort with the included heated and ventilated seats as well as heated steering wheel. The cabin features a tablet style display for the first time that give the interior a touch of modern.
10 inch Infotainment System
The standard 10 inch display brings easy connectivity to both interior layouts with a tablet style display on all trims but the Denali. The system has improved processing power and the ability to receive updates as more features are rolled out. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard to allow for easy connectivity with your smartphone and suite of hands free features.
Back Seat Entertainment
GMC brings a fresh take to back seat entertainment with the addition of available dual 12.6 inch displays. This entertainment system can connect through USB and HDMI to bring HD content to the back seat passengers. The system can also update as features get rolled out in the future to keep up with the latest tech features.

Advanced Driving Platform
GMC developed a new driving platform that is longer and makes use of a new, more advanced suspension system. These adjustments make for incredibly smooth ride quality and handling in tough conditions that give customers peace of mind as well as unmatched comfort. In addition, GMC is offering two new advanced suspension systems and a new 4WD system to the lineup.
Active Response 4WD
The new Active Response 4WD System combines two-speed transfer case, traction select, chassis control, and electronic limited slip differential for new levels of traction. The system adjusts the power being directed to each tire to rely on the tires with the most traction at each moment.
6.2L EcoTec3 V8
Best-in-class 420 horsepower can be found in the all new 6.2L EcoTec3 V8. This engine uses the new Dynamic Fuel Management System with start/stop technology that adjusts the amount of cylinders your engine is using based on demand to improve fuel efficiency while also delivering impressive power.
3.0L DURAMAX Diesel
GMC brings a diesel engine option to the segment with a best-in-class 490 lb. ft. of torque. This move has the automovie world buzzing because of the efficiency that the diesel engine could bring. EPA ratings are expected to be around an impressive 30 miles per gallon on the highway when they are released later this year.
Advanced Suspension Systems
A new air suspension system can adjust the height of the Yukon by up to four inches to improve ground clearance and allow for off-road agility. The system also auto-lowers when reaching high speed to improve aerodynamics and therefore fuel-efficiency. The other advanced suspension system available is the fourth generation Magnetic Ride Control that scans the road and adjusts the damping force on the fly to provide the smoothest ride possible.
