- 2018 Chevrolet Traverse

Since the Chevy Traverse made its debut in 2009,
it has been the obvious choice for SUV buyers
that need an affordable, all purpose vehicle that can seat up to 8 people.
Over that time, we have sold thousands of new and used Chevy Traverses to customers throughout the Midwest and we are excited to announce that the 2018 model will offer families even more.

The 2018 Chevy Traverse has been completely redesigned with a stunning exterior that will appeal to SUV buyers looking for a more aggressive and bold appearance. The interior will continue to have spacious and comfortable seating for all passengers, and the technology upgrades are incredible.
Reserve Your 2018 Traverse!

The 2018 model will begin to arrive to our showroom in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in the late summer months of 2017. We will begin to process orders in late Spring 2017, and if you would like to be added to the waiting list please notify our sales team at
319-774-5814. We can order the vehicle equipped exactly how you would like and you can be one of the first to own this amazing vehicle!

Explore the Redesigned Interior!

Think about the first time you sat behind the wheel of a new vehicle or new-to-you vehicle. The buttons, the lights, adjusting the radio controls, even the smell of the vehicle. Those first few seconds in the driver seat tell you if you like the vehicle or not, and it is a deciding factor if you are going to spend your hard-earned money.
Your first few seconds behind the wheel of a Traverse will make you forget about all those other vehicles! Sleek dashlines, modern layout, and convenient driver controls will have you never wanting to get out of the vehicle.
Almost All Interior Dimensions Are Larger!
The 2018 Traverse can be easily adjusted to balance between a people hauler and cargo carrier. Smart Slide 2nd row seats allow rear passengers to easily access the 3rd row, even if you have a child seat in place. Hidden storage compartments are everywhere, beneath the cargo rear cargo floor, behind the available center stack touch-screen, and on the back of the center console giving your 2nd row passengers a convenient location to store small items as well.
Check out the difference in interior size between the previous body style and the 2018 models:
2017 Traverse | 2018 Traverse | |
---|---|---|
Wheelbase | 118.9" | 120.9" |
Overall Length | 203.7" | 204.3" |
Overall Height | 69.9" | 70.7" |
Front Head Room (without Sunroof) | 40.4" | 41.3" |
2nd Row Head Room | 39.4" | 40.0" |
3rd Row Head Room | 37.8" | 38.2" |
2nd Row Leg Room | 36.8" | 39.0" |
3rd Row Leg Room | 33.2" | 33.7" |
Passenger Volume | 150.8 cu. ft. | 158.4 cu. ft. |
As you can see, the 2018 version is slightly larger and increases seating dimensions to allow for a more comfortable ride for all passengers.

High Country and Premier packages come standard with heated and ventilated front seats, heated 2nd row seats, and heated steering wheel. Everything you will need to keep all passengers comfortable in the ups and downs of Iowa weather! Other interior features include Keyless Open and Start so you can leave your keys in your pocket or purse as well as Rear Seat Reminder.

Rear Seat Reminder activates when rear doors are opened and closed up to 10 minutes before or anytime after the Traverse is turned on. So when you shut off the vehicle in certain situations, you will get a reminder to check for something valuable in the rear seats. As much as we all hope a feature like this is never needed, it is nice to know that it is there.
Performance Where You Need It Most!
For the first time ever, the Traverse will come with two engine choices, a 3.6 Liter V6 and a 2.0L Turbo.

All new for 2018 and paired with a 9 Speed Automatic Transmission producing an estimated 305 HP and 260 lb.-ft of torque with a towing capacity up to 5,000 lbs. if equipped with factory trailering package.

Available in the Traverse RS and has an estimated 255 HP, 295 lb.-ft. of torque and will be paired with the 9 Speed Transmission as well.

Intelligent Start/Stop
Also new for 2018 is Intelligent Stop/Start Technology which offers quiet engine starts and stops with less vibration. Plus it will be able to recognize certain driving situations to determine if it needs to be in a stop/start mode.

AWD, FWD, and Traction Select
The 2018 version will still come in Front Wheel Drive and All Wheel Drive modes, but there are now variations with the drivetrain that will allow you to customize for all types of road and weather conditions.
Traction Select will be available on all models and this allows you to choose between Normal, Snow, and Tow/Haul Mode. AWD models offer Normal (AWD disconnect), 4X4, Off-Road and Tow/Haul.*
* Tow/Haul applies only to models equipped with this feature.
Advanced AWD
Traverse High Country models come with a unique twin-clutch system that directs torque to the wheel with the most traction helping to improve control of the vehicle.
As if all of that is not enough...
