Chevy has a great lineup of vehicles to fit a large variety of needs from family vehicle to off-road warrior to track champion. Not only that, Chevy offers their vehicles at a wide price range to give everyone the ability to buy a reliable Chevy model. At the base L trim you can expect limited features and cloth seats but with the upper trims like the Premier or High Country you get a true luxury feel. Chevy is doing a great job of making many safety features standard on all trims and is expanding their standard safety technology each year.

Knowing what trim to choose can get confusing so we are going to simplify it for you. Below we will breakdown what you can expect from each trim level and what sets them apart. The specific features can vary for each model but the breakdown below should help clarify things.

L

The entry level L trim brings just the basics to give customers the most affordable price. The L trim comes equipped with the base engine option, cloth seats, and has the least available features. With Chevy you still get a strong list of standard features including active safety features. Most models come with a standard infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that makes connecting to your device as easy as could be. The size of the infotainment system differs on each model but the most common sizes are 7" or 8". You will also have 4G WiFi availability on all trim levels allowing you and your family to easily stay connected on the go (standard on all models except the Malibu).

The Chevy Safety Assist package comes standard on the Trailblazer and Equinox and will soon be added to more Chevy models. This includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, following distance indicator, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and Intellibeam headlights.

LS

The LS trim brings some slight upgrades but opens the door to many available packages that are not available on the L trim level. These packages include: the Convenience Package, Interior Protection Package, Chrome Package, and more giving you the ability to choose the features important to you. The LS comes with the same base engine option as well as the durable cloth seating. Some models will come with larger chrome wheels for a little extra style.

LT

The LT trim comes with added comfort in the cabin with an 8-way adjustable driver's seat. You can also expect a bit more technology in the cabin with a driver information display located in the instrument cluster as well as other convenient features. Some models have two LT trims, one with leather seating and one with cloth seating but both share most other features. Other models that don't have an LT leather trim are fit with cloth and require you to take the next step up to get leather seating.

RS

The RS trim brings sporty style with the use of glossy black and red accents. This trim has an aggressive appearance that stands out from all angles. Each model comes with a black grill, black wheels, and the use of gloss black for other exterior accents including black badging. As far as features goes, the RS usually has the same features as the LT trim with the exception of some models like the Trailblazer which comes with an upgraded engine. The interior also matches the sporty exterior styling with use of black sport cloth and red accents. Some models, like the Traverse, come with leather on the RS trim for added comfort.

Premier

The Premier trim is the top level trim on most vehicles in the lineup excluding the Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, Colorado, and Silverado. With this luxury trim you get great comfort with heated leather seats, the top end infotainment system, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The exterior matches the comfortable interior with a strong use of chrome accents to add to the high-end look. Larger chrome wheels are also found on this trim that boost the luxury feel. You will also receive the upgraded engine option with more power and a smoother driving experience.

High Country

The High Country trim is only available on the Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, and Silverado. This trim is the best that Chevy has to offer with a luxury look and high-end features throughout. You can expect a unique grill design with chrome as well as modern LED lighting. From all angles the High Country trim shows off sleek chrome and a unique personality of true luxury.

The interior of the High Country features leather seating with heated and ventilated capability to go with a long list of convenience features.The specific features are different on each model but you can expect to see a sunroof, Dual-zone automatic climate control, and wireless charging among other features. All the top end features that aren't standard on the High Country trim are available to add on like molded assist steps, back seat infotainment with DVD player, powered universal tablet holder, and more.

Z71

The legendary Z71 package has grown a lot in popularity over the years. What once started as an internal Chevrolet code is now a popular off-road trim. The only vehicles to offer a Z71 trim option are the Tahoe, Suburban, Colorado, and Silverado. This all-terrain trim comes with 4WD standard and includes Hill Descent Control, along with 20-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, front skid plate and red tow hooks. The impressive capability also comes with rugged style! The front skid plate not only looks off-road ready, it adds clearance as well. You will also find black accents with red tow hooks for an aggressive look.
