Built on an all-new architecture, the Sonata is constructed with a coupe-like profile with a longer wheelbase and lower stance. Its strong face wears new daytime running headlights and taillights that pierce the night sky for a clear pathway. A large blacked out grille is the center of attention at first glance giving it a more mean and aggressive look. Clean chrome strips run from the grille all the way to that rear windows. The Sonata stands on a standard 16" alloy wheels with the option to upgrade to 17 or 18-inch wheels on select trim levels.

The Sonata offers up four different trim levels for this year, the SE, SEL, SEL Plus and Limited. There are two available powertrains, the 2.5-liter 4-cyclinder engine with 191 horsepower and 181 lbs.-ft. of torque and a 1.6-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower 195 lbs.-ft. of torque. Both drive on an 8-speed automatic transmission and a steel frame body for a strudy ride. The Sonata ranges from an EPA-Estimated Mileage of 27 City/36 HWY MPG to 28 City/38 HWY MPG.
