The 2017 GMC Acadia is the first vehicle on the market to feature the industry's first Rear Seat Reminder. GMC understands that everyone leads busy lives. This feature makes sure that Acadia drivers don't forget what's in the back seat, whether it be a pet, laptop, lunch or your child.The Rear Seat Reminder monitors the Acadia's rear doors. If the rear doors were to open and close within ten minutes before the vehicle is started, the the feature is activated. When the vehicle is turned off, there are audible chimes and a message is displayed in the driver information center to check the back seat.
EXTERIOR
GMC redesigned the size of the 2017 Acadia by cutting 700 pounds off from the 2016 model, in turn giving you even better fuel economy (GMC est. 28 MPG hwy.) The original Acadia was based heavily off truck-inspired design, now it clearly is modeled to lead the SUV segment in refinement and clean lineage. Each package available with the 2017 Acadia comes equipped with a unique grille, precisely designed to enhance the package's appearance and functionality. All Acadia packages include wrap-around headlamps with complementing C-shape rear lighting graphics.

The 2017 Acadia offers multiple package options to fit perfectly with what you need for your life. Certain packages offer seating options for five-, six- or even seven-passengers, keeping that third-row option that many families truly enjoy. Gorgeous wood accents and soft brushed aluminum around the front dash precisely define the refinement upgrades of the 2017 Acadia. The second-row improve the 'Smart Slide' feature that allows you to fold the second-row forward even with a front facing child seat remaing in place!

GMC improved the technology ten-fold in the 2017 Acadia, the GMC IntelliLink touch radio system now incorporates a Blu Ray Player for the front seat to control for second-row drivers to watch, or a USB slot to have a memory device to control multiple movie options without having discs cluttering up your vehicle! GMC improved the second-row rider experience by mounting two separate 10 inch touch screen monitors to the back of the front row seats, giving them personal entertainment either by watching films or playing the included game apps!
