Introducing the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan
Athletic Stance
The Tiguan was released in 2007 and made waves as a strong competitor in the CUV segment. A 2016 redesign brought new modern styling to the front of the SUV and opted for a slightly boxier shape. The Tiguan is 13 inches shorter and 6 inches slimmer than the larger Volkswagen SUV, the Atlas making it a great SUV for a small family.
Exterior
Active and Sleek
The 2020 Tiguan features a sleek, boxy design that uses strong body lines and slim headlights to give the SUV a unique personality. The design is slightly less boxy than its bigger brother the Atlas partially due to the sloping roofline that adds to the sporty body style. The Tiguan has an athletic stance and looks ready to take on harsh terrain while also have the sophistication for everyday driving.
Modern LED Headlights
The headlights have a simple and clean style that is framed on the bottom by an LED daytime running light. The headlights are available in full LED to complete the modern look and improve visibility on the road. Sleek and angular tail lights tie into the body line and help create a cohesive style.
Aggressive Body Lines
One of the most eye-catching exterior features is the bold body-line that runs the length of the vehicle and is even carried across on the rear-hatch. On the R-Line Trim, a chrome badge is tied into the body-line and gives a sleek accent right under the side-view mirrors.
Slim Chrome Grill
Volkswagen has slimmed up and simplified the grill of the Tiguan over the years. The result is a chrome-accented bar grill that ties into the headlights seamlessly and creates an assertive style. The lower grill adds to the sporty feel with aggressive angles and a subtle hexagonal pattern.
Special Edition
R-Line Edition
The Special Edition R-Line is available on the SE and SEL Premium and comes with special chrome badges as well as specialty wheels. The R-Line Edition is also available in R-Line Black which swaps in a gloss black exterior accents and flat black wheels

6.5 inch Infotainment System
The 6.5 inch infotainment display has a sleek and simple interface that is very easy to navigate to all the most important driver controls. The display fits well in the dash as the control center of the car and is easy to reach and view for both the driver and front passenger. The system comes equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for easy connection to your phone and compatible apps. The system is also available in an 8 inch version on SE trims and up.

The Tiguan features an impressive layout that makes the most of every inch. The available third row allows for two added seats that can be folded down along with the 60 / 40 second row to give an impressive 73.5 cu. ft. of cargo space.

4MOTION All-Wheel Drive
Volkswagen has developed some very impressive performance technologies including the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. This unique system actively assesses the driving conditions and redirects the power going to each wheel to optimize traction.
2.0L TSI Turbocharged I4
The Tiguan only has one engine option but the 2.0L TSI turbocharged engine is more than capable. The inline 4 cylinder engine outputs an impressive 184 horsepower and gets 29 MPG on the highway. The engine pairs very well with the 8-speed transmission for smooth shifting and quick acceleration.
